My psychologist is a good therapist, and he was very helpful through my ordeal of grieving and homelessness. I wish everyone could find a good therapist, who has a mental illness diagnosis. I guess I'm lucky, but I've worked very hard at my recovery too. Before risperdone, I took meds which caused me to feel too tired and out of touch with my surroundings. I like knowing what is going on around me, instead of feeling tired.

Glad you're in a good place and have a supportive care system and on meds that are good for you.

I just want to say first that it's great that you're doing better and are no longer homeless! That is a huge step to getting better. I am surprised about the risperidone- I was initially prescribed that but had to stop because I had adverse reaction to it- I felt light headed and dizzy and a bit sick to my stomach. I guess everyones different.

Thanks for mentioning risperidone, Brookwest.
My pdoc has that lined up for me as the next treatment option. I really hope it will be the one that breaks the steady line of soul terminating meds I have tried.
