Nice to meet you! I'm also schizoaffective depressive type! It's good to see people on here with the same diagnosis. It does feel really good to put a name to it, that's how I felt several months ago.

Thanks everyone! It does feel good to know there are others who share the same diagnosis! I finally feel like I'm not alone. My Dr says that I'm taking the news pretty well, but honestly, I think it might b because I know almost nothing about MI. So maybe I'm just a Lil naive... Anyway, I hope to learn a lot and start down that weindy road to recovery.

Nice to meet u avlady! I am currently on 80mg of Geodon and 900mg of Trileptal. Not really sure what they are supposed to do tho, I've kinda been afraid to check online and c lol. I'm scared of side effects, but lucky none so far! Are the meds I'm on normal for someone with this condition?

I read about 20 books on Schizoaffective and illness knowledge helped me a lot. Now I understand when it's my illness. I take Latuda a.d klonopin as well as Lunesta for sleep. I always read about the side affects and have had rashes from at least 3 medications. I've tried about 20 different medications to get where I am now.

Oh wow. That must have been hard, going through all those meds. It might b a good idea to read some books on this illness because I have no idea when its my illness or just me lol. Kinda afraid to buy the book in a store tho. I'm kinda afraid what ppl would do if I went to check out with a book about schizoaffective. Maybe I'm just paranoid. not sure what klonopin does, but I've been on lunesta once and latuda once. This was when I was in the "experimenting" stage when they didn't know what was going on with me. The lunesta was nice, it just put a metallic taste in my mouth when it kicked in. Latuda I had to quit, it made me way to restless. But I'm really glad they are working for u! I'm hoping I don't have to med hop much.

You mean, schizoaffective... there is no letter t in the spelling of schizophrenia/schizoaffective.

I bought all my books online. Sobered to my door. That helped me a lot.

That's a good idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that! I'll start with amazon and see what they have.
