Hello! New to the forum and just wanted to say hi and ask a quick question. Has anyone ever had a doc think you have something else? I got disorder schizoaffective bipolar type with ocd. I dont have full blow mania, just hypo. Hearing an inner voice, intrusive thoughts, anxiety (oh my the anxiety), disorganized speech, and i have negative symptoms (not taking care of my self, comes with the depression) I had trouble sleeping.. anyway my problem is my new doc thinks I present in differently to different doctors.. I think is I dont trust her.. I dont trust her one bit.. the way she expresses herself.. I just hate it! Anyway im getting neuropsych testing tomorrow.. hopefully that clears things up.. THANKS
oh and im on zyprexa 10mg and now clexa 20mg (I LOVE THIS) |

hi mayowhite
i have had so many different docs and they all have their own ideas. it is so frustrating. the important thing is finding a doc you feel comfortable with. this doesnt sound like the doc for you. welcome to psych central. you will find we have several forums where you can post about your concerns and receive feedback from other members. you will get a lot of support here. again, welcome ![]() |

Welcome to PC Mayowhite!
![]() I agree with kaliope. If you don't feel like this is the doc for you then I would consider changing. I've had many doctors think I've had something else. It took years to finally come to the correct diagnoses as some of my symptoms have changed over the years. |
