Does anyone have a therapy dog for being schizoafftective bipolar type? And if so than do they help relieve some of symptoms? I want one but I don't know where to look.

We got ours at the pound and trained her our self. I have a note from my therapist that I need her. I'm able to know if I'm hearing things by whether she's barking or not. She plays with me when I'm manic. Lays with me when depressed. She'll demand to be pet/played with if I'm sleeping to much. And other things.

Thank you for your input. I actually need one because I've been having one hell of a time with this diagnosis. I can't control the schizophrenic side and because of this side I've tried to take my own life twice in the last two weeks.
