I managed to get a degree in liberal arts only associates and I see it as meaningless.

If I stayed away from pot and stayed with my meds I should of been able to get a masters.

I am considering going back for an lpn license.

Being sza doesn't make us dumb anything's possible with the right regimine and being disciplined.

Good luck

I finished college but haven't gotten a job in my degree field because i messed up early on and was too scared to take a position that was mainly experience only aside from my internship. I have no experience in the field.

I was healthy at the time I was going through college (despite moderate social anxiety which mostly just hurt my social scene, not academic performance).

My symptoms started in grad school, so I had to drop out of the PhD program and just get the Master's. I'm actually really impressed I was able to finish my thesis, as I was pretty depressed at the time. Real heavy feeling.

Personally, I DO think having a mental illness like SA in college can screw you over... but you have to keep trying and definitely definitely get the support you need, whether it be social or medical.

Before I was dx, I ended up dropping out because I was hospitalized. Now that things are under control I'm going back at the end of the month. First, I'm doing an associates degree in general studies because it covers the core for bachelor's degrees. This will help ease me back in I think. Then I'm going for a Bachelor's in computer science. Good luck to us both!

Yes, I have had some serious issues with college but now that I'm stable I'm doing very well and hope to continue that way. I'm working on a degree in Human Services right now. It's taking me more time to complete the degree than most people but I don't have a problem with that, mental stability is most important and too much stress sends me off the rails

Yeah, I'm studying Spanish literature and philosophy and have one semester left. It took me longer to finish college. I had to withdraw from classes a few times. But I've gotten through it.

To me it's all ********. I actually diagnosed myself with this disorder until my psychologist confirmed it. I might have something wrong with me but I don't trust a diagnoses. I'm in school working on a BA in psychology . It's been a challenge but I'm making it.

I went to college with heavy SZA at the time. Ran from the first simple classes, went back, was hospitalized 2x going thru it. I took only 2 classes at a time (mostly). I was scripted Xanax for as need be (surely in public speaking!). Over the 4years it took to earn my *** in Electromechanical Eng., I found a good balance between that fine line of super smart -vs- a complete nut. Graduated with honors, sat on the Eng. advisory board for 2 years. Highest 1st year earner. Blah blah blah...

I did medicate with cannabis (now prescribed) as need be and this did help depending on the situation.

5years now fully employed in my field. Went from 5 years on SSI to 5 years making a good living. Still very SZA, stopped cannabis weeks ago for a few weeks and life went off the cliff.

Point is; if I can do it, others surely can (I'm a complete wreck), but my E-cigg, some cannabis, and a lot of time and it happened Peace.

I went and it was a real struggle. I graduated top of my class, deans list etc. I either was doing course work, going to school, or playing Skyrim till I passed out to relieve the anxiety and paranoia.i played Skyrim over 1000 hours in the course of two semesters

That sounds like a good choice. I'm pretty sure that all you need is a BA/BS for this .

I am getting a bachelor's in graphic design and animation technology. I am currently making straight A's but I do have accommodations that lets me turn in assignments four days after the official due date without having points taken off.

Thanks for the encouragement. I had a psychotic break/breakdown trying to go to college. You never know though...maybe one day I'll go back.
