Doing fine... Just bored as of late. I don't know why. Just nothing to do I suppose.

Sad. And bad voices right now. Not as bad as sometimes, though.

I tried to get quiet mentally for a meditation and then I heard my non-sensical voice humming. I'm very stressed.

I was recently diagnosed and my life has kind of been falling a part. I didn't realize certain things were hallucinations and now I'm second guessing everything around me. I feel like its the stress from all the testing and the diagnosis making everything worse but I can't help it. I'm scared to leave my apartment without my best friend. I've been on lamotrigine for about five weeks and start abilify today. what else can I do? I'm waiting for a few therapists to email me back but i feel like people around me just aren't getting what I'm saying.

@Myrapoda364 welcome to MSF - My Support Forums.
I am sorry you are suffering from hallucinations. That must be kind of scary and or unsettling. I hope you find it comforting to have the friendship of people on MSF. I am so happy you joined. There are many other causes for hallucinations bsides mental illness although that is a predominant one. Have you talked to your doctor to get a medical check up to see if you may have physical conditions that may cause hallucinations? For example, there are people I know with Parkinsons who experience hallucinations as side affects. I am not implying you have that affliction but I give it just as an example. Check with a doctor if you want to eliminate the possibility you may have some physical ailment. I hope to hear from you on the forums and you get the support you are looking for. @CANDC __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |

I'm still very new to my diagnosis. we are running through different possibilities. I don't necessarily know what causes them but I have them nonetheless. and I need to build trust in my own world again. That's step one.

Hi @Myrapoda364 It is often disconcerting to have hallucinations and things, at least for me. I was trying to explain to my therapist the other day why I felt alarmed when I had some audio hallucinations. She's like how long have you had hallucinations. I was like 24 years. She was like, why then were you alarmed? I was like because I was scared. They were scary to me. Sigh. It is hard sometimes to feel understood. Welcome to the forums. Post as much as you want. Hugs if wanted, Kit

I just didn't expect to be told they were hallucinations.. I've been a horror fanatic all my life and then to put two and two together and figure out horror and the occult is a trigger is just terrible. thank for understanding.

Well, I am doing more than okay! I feel like this is such a good time for me emotionally. I feel like I'm all aboard the good feelings train much of the time. There may have been a small sadness mood swing one day, but other than that, I feel right emotionally. I have a small worrisome ponderment sometimes about if I even enjoy my smartphone. I wonder if it's all what it's cracked up to be because I certainly do not exactly enjoy it. It's borderline obsessive. I worry about it and if I have the right apps on there much of the time. It seems like I want it very simple and if I could do it all over, I would. Worrisome-ness over that is just about it. I've given up my worrisome-ness about makeup and beauty. My sister helped with that! And I'll have to make a heartfelt thanks to her.

Haven't checked in here in a while. Doing okay I guess with the Schizoaffective stuff. Kind of anxious/depressed but voices and such are okay.

I'm feeling as if I will be better if I take my Belsomra (which is a sleeping pill) PRN and my Mom wants me to bring it up to the docs.
I believe that I have been moody and the term "rapid cycling" was rolling around in the Schizophrenia's meanderings. I really want to be on a weight loss pill that works to help me lose 100+ lbs which was all caused by the antipsychotic usage. __________________ Hi! I'm bexca and I have Schizoaffective disorder |

Doing okay with the hallucinations and delusions type stuff. Mostly just depressed. Lack of motivation. Flat affect. Etc.

Eh. Had some audio hallucinations the other day. They were distressing. Still feeling depressed. Lack of motivation. Lack of emotions. Etc. Either I feel my emotions too strongly or I don't hardly feel them at all. No happy medium for me!

The voices today were greater in number.

I think I am headed toward a breakthrough. I ain't joking. I believe in the way it is right now is all some might say, but I can feel the change in the air and I have such faith in miracles. Spring came and it was such a great day when it did.
