I usually just tell them that they're wrong, and I do care. However, they don't buy it. I'm not a very sympathetic person. I'll admit it, but that doesn't mean I wish them ill or something. Heck, if they need something, I can be quite helpful. I care on some level. I'm just probably not the person to come to, if what you want is someone to "feel for you."

i just had someone bring up something similar to me regarding being the only one to stay in touch in our friendship. i have been working hard on trying to connect with people. i could tell she was bothered. so i just told her about being schizoid and it was part of my makeup and now she understands.
