From time to time I have this feeling arising suddenly. It didn't happen many times, but is sort of a surprise when it does.
Someone treating me really well and caring and being nice and protective towards me ...and I feel like a small child that wants to be loved and be taken care off by that person like a mother should do. Is like longing for a caring comprensive mother with incondicional love. Even If the person is a stranger.

I am starting to experience this in therapy. My T is kind and gentle and I find myself feeling vulnerable and needy in her presence. Young feelings are making themselves known; they want mommy (T) to see them and take care of them. It's painful and confusing.

What does the literature of SPD says regarding child neglect? This is quite an interesting topic of discussion for me. I'd love to hear other stories about this.
