Just wanted to know what are your thoughts on psychoanalysis for this disorder. In case someone has some information or experience.

I'm in psychoanalysis (whatever that means). I think psychoanalysis can be very powerful for PD's in general, specifically because psychoanalysts are often very well trained, patient, willing to do long term work and willing to work with all sorts of transferences. That has been at least my experience with two different analysts.

It depends on the orientation of the analyst though. I don't think I would do well with a Freudian or a Lacanian analyst. The orientation of my own analyst is a mix of Kleinian (object-relational) and relational. That seems to work well, although the pace is still very low. But I am very content with my therapy.
