There's this 'spirit' that resides in my room, the hall way, my aunt's house- anywhere I am. The other night, I saw him, or, rather, a bit of him. He was standing much too close for comfort, and I just saw his black cloak from the corner of my eye. When I looked over, he was still there, only for a split second, though (it was like he was walking?). There was also this really loud bang. I was listening to music at the time ('Through the Glass' by Stone Sour, to be exact. I think). I doubt the music had had any loud bang in it, because I don't think any song would have a sound of something being thrown down three inches from your body.

A couple years ago, I loved to watch shows like Ghost Hunters and Most Haunted. Now I do not watch these shows, as they can be quite unnerving at times, especially considering I have my own experiences, too. Okay, I had always seen 'ghosts' and things no one else could; and when I still see these things, I consider them to be paranormal, because no one else sees them or admits to doing the action I had just seen. (One time, I saw my brother clearly walk down the hallway, and another time he went into the bathroom, and I would look and he would still be there, but he'd never, ever admit to doing those things at that time). I had had this nightmare of this cloaked figure, who had been blocking me from saving this pregnant girl. I can sometimes hear her screaming my name, as if she's in desperate need of help, and she's even flat out told me she needs help ('Help me,' and 'Steph, are/aren't you trying to find something?')

Sometimes I see people or animals who would distract me from what I was doing, and that would result in me getting seriously hurt (i.e seeing a small dog walk out in front of me from underneath a table, feel your leg brush against its side, and then trip and get hurt). No one in my family openly admits to seeing this many things, or hearing these things, like I do. I've been told it is just paranormal, and thus, it shall be. For now.

But I've been distracted out in public and have even crashed into a mailbox because I thought there was someone behind me!

Last night, I kept seeing this black hand brush the top of my bed (which fits in perfectly well with my belief of the clown under my bed), and there was another shadow that past by, but on my wall. This has happened in numerous other rooms as well, and I might as well just put the fact that it's happened over at other people's houses out there.

When I'm in bed, looking up at the ceiling, trying not to look at the face that has formed from the ceiling cracking and falling from above, I get easily scared, because I still see these things, and feel like I'm being watched constantly. I'll turn my face to look at the wall to try to get some sleep, but I'll hear this man easily interrupt my thoughts. He'll tell me to 'look up,' or 'we see you,' or even 'we're watching you.' Sometimes, it's been audible, and that has been enough to convince me that there really is someone else in the room, even if I use common sense to tell me there isn't.

Since these experiences have happened, I've been wondering if my room is really haunted, or if I'm the haunted one, and the loony bin. I remember saying this earlier, that no one else sees or hears these things, and that I believed it was paranormal, but I can't help but wonder, because these experiences are getting worse and sometimes much more terrifying. What are your thoughts about this, or the paranormal in general?

note; I am not currently seeing a psychiatrist, therefore I am not on any meds (I am trying, though....)

Have you been diagnosed with Schizophrenia already? If not get yourself checked out for sure. I do believe in the paranormal, and I do not have Schizophrenia myself (although my mother has a friend with it and she is too scared to even let this person in her house because she sits and stares at her for 10 minutes at a time) so I can't really give you any sort of advice.
I would really suggest going somewhere to find out if you have something, I'm scaring myself just sitting here typing all this so I'm sure this must be terrifying for you.

hi estrella,

there are actually books on the paranormal describing your experience. The vision of men in black cloaks are different from the 'men in black' regarding alien issues. There are accounts of people being physically attacked by the cloaked type such as awakening to their attempts of strangulation. That the hand marks were still present after. Psychics (sorry, can't think of appropriate title) classify most of what you've described as the activity of 'elementals', or nuisance spirits.
Now, let's state the obvious: schizophrenia and hallucinations are a fact and more often than not, they make no sense. Many experiences are similar, but none or very few exactly the same. That is, we may hear similar commands for example but thousand of schizophrenics have not seen an hallucination of a person that looked exactly the same in description. If you tell a psychiatrist that you've seen something that others haven't, you will be considered schizo. Even if you have countless of experiences that come true, you will be dxx with schizo. as a retiree, R.D, Lang (psychiatrist) admitted to finding psychic phenomena valid but stated that he kept it secret because his peers would have ruined him.
Regarding your phenomenon, non-religious people have had success in just placing a crucifix over their bed, cluster crystals on their bedside or burned sage (I think it's sage), others have the entire house blessed/cleared by priest or sharman types. If it's a psychological effect, does it matter if it worked. If there is still activity, (and your experiences if paranormal, should not continue), it's less of a shock to keep your mind open to the possibility that you are suffering with schizophrenia (which is a huge field).
I hope this helps

When I was a child I had those problems and I was always told I just had an over active imagination or I was psychic, that mindset lasted for awhile... But then I went absolutely insane and had to be DXed and put on meds. Be careful.
