Anyway, I'm drifting off topic with that. Mainly I just want to know what you experienced at the time. How much voices were you hearing? Did ''random'' noises occur as well? (Example; someone knocking on your door, the sound of a glass breaking, screams, or similar.) What were the topics? As in, what did the voices begin telling you at first. Did they respond to your own thoughts/words? Not neceserily leading a conversation, though you could hear a ''comment'' when talking to someone else? How do you deal with them? To relax a little? And I beg of you not to tell me with a therapist, I'm asking for what you did before (or after) therapy with out the help of a proffessional, that worked.I'm not looking for a cure to stop them, just a way to ease my mind. Another thing.. Have they (or has it) ever told/ordered you to do something specific? I'm going to be random here, and say opening the window, or walking to the kitchen for some odd reason? If so, what did you feel like after doing it, or after not doing it? Quote:

Yea, voices tell me to do stuff now and then. The trick is to not do what they want.

That's why I'm asking all of this. |

I thought that there were people watching everything that I did and they were constantly making comments on what I was doing. I screamed at them and told them to leave me alone. I became very self-conscious about everything that I did. Taking showers was even difficult because they kept making comments. I handled it as best as I could without meds. I even worked with all those voices, which caused problems at work for me. I'm fortunate that I was never fired. Medication keeps me calm and has reduced the voices. They are not gone completely, but I handle them much better now.

It's a big help to see how others have gone through this, and makes it alot easier on me. Quote:
Imagination can be led to as far as you want it to, but it also stops when you want it to.Voices how ever, don't seem to stop no matter how much you may even hate them.In fact, the more upset you get, the more they ''harass'' you. Basically, there's really nothing you can do to stop them. And if you were making them up, they wouldn't be stressing you out.You would be able to understand ''Hey, perhaps it's time to focus on something else.'' and then the ''voices'' would stop. But since this doesn't happen, it's safe to assume you should get a check up with a therapist. (preferably one not like my own) Then again, I'm just guessing~ I have to hurry.. got a session today. -_-'' One I'd gladly miss, but oh well. |
