I've just been forced back on meds - take it now or you're going to leave me no choice.

My psychiatrist was meant to believe me - it wasn't meant to go like that, they just don't listen to me.

I'm going to end up dead - with this.

I'm sorry Kureha. It's awful to feel that you have no choice in what's going to happen. I do know that some people have found medications to be very helpful to them so I will hope that whatever happens, proves itself to ultimately be beneficial for you.

Are you being given the option of negotiating for an agreed upon trial period, say... six weeks or three months -- something like that? If not, do you think you could strike a deal with your doctors to do that?

Also, do you know the names of the medications you are being given. It can be a good idea to research them (or have your parents do so) so that you know what to expect in terms of possible benefits and risks.

I know meds are no fun - it's tough to take them when they don't seem to help. I know how you feel.
Thanks for this!

i know that feeling though too. Meds really suck, especially if they feel like they are not working.

Thanks,

I've got to take them for a while, at least a year.

I told my psychiatrist and nurse I was fine and they didn't believe me, they knew I was just trying to get off the meds.

I'm not telling them anything - I know they want me in hospital - doesn't matter what they say.

This is what I hate about the forced treatment. The trust level goes down, and you feel like you can't be honest with the people who are trying to help you.

Just the other day, my son said that he wanted to tell me something but was afraid I would think it was a delusion and force him back to the hospital. And I'm not even the one who's trying to have him hospitalized!

My thoughts are with you, KUHERA.
Thanks for this!

Thanks

Yeah - I'm not trusting anyone - because I know what will happen.

It would be better if your son told you, I guess it could help sometimes, especially since you're not going to take him to the hospital.

Does he trust you?

He actually did tell me what the problem was. I can't remember now what it was that was bothering him, but I do think it helped him to talk about it with me.

Sometimes he trusts me and sometimes he doesn't. He trusts me more now that I'm trying not to force him to do things he doesn't want to.

I'm sorry you don't have anyone you feel you can trust. That must be pretty lonely.
Thanks for this!

Ah right - well that's good.

I don't really tell my mam anything - just in case she mentions it to my nurse.
Managed to skip my meds a few days - know she won't tell her that.
