I was thinking of having a survival mode thingy I can depend on if the voices get back (start accusing me again) So far i've come up with
1. Use whatever you can. 2. Escape What do you think? __________________ God is good all the time! Mark 10:18 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. |

Good idea. Do you tend to remember what you can use or how to escape when you find yourself confronted with negative voices? Maybe you could list specific things you can use, like white noise or distraction, whatever has helped you in the past. Maybe you could make a second list of strategies that other people have found helpful for them that you'd like to try if the voices come back.
I seem to remember reading something within the last couple of days about two ways that people deal with voices that tend to make them worse. I think it was alternating between ignoring them and attending to them too closely. I can't remember where I saw it. Maybe Ron Unger's blog? I've seen a list of ways of dealing with voices somewhere - maybe the National Empowerment Center. Compiled by Pat Deegan I believe. |
