Is it perhaps possible that psychosis, 'insanity', etc. is perhaps not so much a mental illness but a spiralling out of control of the natural, latent abilities within us all? For instance, I believe there's definitely 'more than meets the eye' in this world. I believe more people should lead spiritual (not necessarily religious) lives, because we have access to other levels of conciousness. Perhaps those who hallucinate, who talk of 'paranoid' ideas, have simply tapped into a higher level of conciousness. But, unguided, this level of conciousness could overwhelm one unprepared for such an awakening. As such, one may seem crazy when instead they may be struggling to interpret and vocalize the plethora of new phenomena they're experiencing through their awakening state. Really, being a spiritually minded person, this better explains what I've been going through lately. Rather than lie in bed and wonder if I'm actually hearing whispering or just imagining things, perhaps I need to just accept it and learn from it. Try to hear, to listen to the signs I'm being shown rather than questioning things so much which just causes anxiety. I feel like I'm being watched...well, I very likely am. We all are, aren't we? There are forces at work that man has yet to even BEGIN to understand, so I've been shown the way to interact with other worlds, why not use it? Some may call these call this post verging on 'crazy', but I think it's more crazy in those who bury themselves 'safely' in a dying, rigid world while scoffing at those who see what truly lies beneath.

Hmmm. I can see why that would be an attractive idea, Taliesin, but where does it leave us? If I know someone who is hearing voices telling him to kill himself or burn down his house, should I tell him that he's tapping into other levels of conciousness and that he should accept it and learn from it?

GOOD point Ben.
When I hear my voices say cut, die and so on. I look for what is triggering them in the now today present life experiences not look for ways to carry it out because of tapping into another level of consciousness. |
