I can't function. I'm on medications for schizophrenia. I'm constantly sleepy. I feel like someone's playing tricks on my mind, making me drowsy and tired, and dysfunctional. On some days I feel great, or okay, but on many days, I hear voices and it feels like someone is manipulating my brain. I can't wake up on time. I sleep more than twelve hours sometimes. I'm always off schedule. I don't work, or can't work. The voices tell me to go off SSI. They're constantly harassing me. What can I do?

I think you need to tell your pdoc that you are still hearing voices, and that you have lots of side effects (sleepiness). I think your pdoc needs to adjust your medication.

What meds are you on right now peaceweb?

And what meds have you tried in the past that worked well or didn't work well for you?

When my son was sleeping 12 hours a day, his pdoc lowered the dose. You need to talk to your pdoc.

Talk to your doctor about the side effects and the voices. I sleep a lot as well. I sleep 12-14 hours a day and still don't feel rested. I am on Loxapine. I also take sleeping pills because without them I have the opposite effect in which I can't sleep at all or just sleep about 2 hours a day which causes psychosis in me. I am sorry that you are having problems. I hope you get better soon.
