From my experience, a community mental health care, depending on the size of the city or area in which it serves, can be much larger than private practices. The one I went to when I did not have an income (they usually have a sliding scale for those with low income/no insurance, so its cheaper), and I was treated like just another number in a chart. Nothing was personal, because they were trying to help so many people at once, and it was hard to get an appointment in very soon. Once I got on medicare, I switched to a private place and things have been much better really. I can get appointments in every week. Haven't looked back. But if the CMHC is all you can get or afford, it's way better than nothing that's for sure.

its not.
im on a very good insurance.
my moms like...some wealthy wench.
idk..i dont want to be on it & i might get kicked off anyway. so...idk.
last psych sent a refferal to this place because i needed a place that administers injections and i suppose unless i goto dallas most private psychs dont do it...cause need a nurse...and i already been to a lot in the area that doesnt have one.

but..oh well
i never "fish around" or follow up on stuff cause i dont know really how to find a psych. i do but we all know certain factors whatever they are dont make it where you call the first one and thats that. i dont follow up because i have memory problems and also fear. when i was younger for example id forget to take my meds.
that and because im not compliant is why im being told by a lot of these mental health pros recently that i need injections but after thinking about stuff today i really dont want it.

I hope your appointment goes/went well.

I've never went private - just free on the NHS - but I got the most amazing psychologist.
