This was Guru's idea in the roll call thread, but I think it's a great idea.

Let's focus on something nice and happy for a change

What are your seven favourite memories?
Of course, more are welcome! Seven is just enough to be a stretch.

When I was a little kid and didn't have a worry in the world! A bit of a broad memory, but it was so much easier back then, too much to stress about nowadays.

Good thread fishsandwich! Oo that's a tough one - I can't think of 7.

I'd say cooking with my late Nan as a child is definitely up there as I remember feeling so loved and important to her at the time

One of mine was playing little league baseball on the Cardinals team.
I played first base and it was alot of fun with the guys. We gave each other confidence.

Should I just post one a day? This might be difficult. There are lots of memories I have that are 'tainted' or entire periods of time that just...I've forgotten. I'll try though.

One is fairly recent, actually (like most of them probably will be). A few days ago. Just laying in my bed with my boyfriend, cuddling, with him petting my hair and telling me how he loves me, and back and forth with that like your stereotypical disgustingly cute couple. We do that a lot, just lay in my bed to just -be- next to each other. Nothing more expected than that. So it's not -specifically- that one time, but lots of times that kind of count as one memory, I think.

I guess I can feel safe enough to say it's one of my favorites because, well, I trust him enough to know that he wouldn't do anything to ruin that memory. If we ever broke up, I know it'd be my fault, or because of something I wouldn't...hate him for, you know? I've had a...bad record so far with dating, but we've been together about a year now, and he's done nothing yet to make me think he's insincere. That's....kind of a big thing to me.

I think I missed yesterday, so I'll give another one to end on a lighter note. Me standing on my aunt's foot as a toddler, clinging to her leg while she was walking around and making muffins. I was just...SO excited for those muffins, and my aunt is just...really awesome. I actually get to see her Monday.
Thanks for this!

One of my favourite memories is climbing to the top of a mountain for the first time! The view up those things is AMAZING!

I know I have to have some but I can't think of any that arn't tainted. The more I try to think of one the more I'm getting frustrated. Maybe one will come to me.

WAIT... I GOT ONE!

I had a dream and solved a calculus problem in it and the next day that exact same problem was on the test. I was very excited.

It's interesting and entertaining. I like watching the male slowly approach and tap on the web (often retreating and attempting again several times). I like seeing if the female ever decides he is worthy of her. I like watching how smooth and careful he is. And if he makes a quick get away, or slowly retreats, or doesn't survive the encounter. I find the, often hour long process, very intriguing.

Is it true the ladies eat the men when they're done? Or is that some other kind of insect?

You could make films for the Discovery Channel

I thought of another favourite memory: Telling a joke in English for the first time! I felt so proud to be so good at English; telling a joke in a second language is probably the most difficult thing you can do. I was so happy to see everyone laughing at the funny thing I said. And you know, I can't even remember WHAT I said!!
