I had a left temporal lobe stroke in the past, it has now made hallucinations worse. Has anyone dealt with this before?

I'm having an MRI soon. I think if I had a stroke it would have shown up on my CT, but if something odd shows up that you might be able to relate to, I'll let you know.

Strokes do show up on a CT, and an MRI TOO

They thought I had a stroke as a child, but they never did any kind of brain scan so who knows.

It should still show its like a dead spot. The MRI for sure. I had a total neuro work up after my ct. MRI, corrotid Doppler, echo , TEE and swallow study. Temporal lobe strokes can effect hallucinations a lot they did mine.

i had a CT done. nothing wrong. ever since before i had one i ALWAYS wanted something PHYSICAL to be wrong. that mean high probability things could be fixed and quicker than current going ons. but...nope. CT was normal. but im actually convinced the lied to me about my CT....maybe siad it was normal to hide something from me.

I've worked in the medical field for years and many of my pts me included had CT scans and they are most reliable for detecting strokes but to isolate their exact location and answer some of the damage done questions the MRI is your diffinitive answer. I was lucky I had strokes in my left temporal lobe and basal Ganglion I can still move and think fine. It could be if you had a stroke you weRe lucky like me.
