I've been thinking about this... running away. I live in Columbus Ohio and thinking about taking a greyhound to Miami Florida and stay down there. I know it sounds like a horrible idea but I just want to run away.

Hi there I remember those times. I would run to where I thought I wanted to be. Only thing when I got there I didn't like it there . I had a T at the time and one of the things I learned, I can't run away from my self you know what insanity is? Doing the same thing and expecting diffrent results. I truly empathize with you.
All the best to you on your journey. Mabey you could consider a visit to Florida ![]() |

I agree that a visit to Florida is a good idea. Sometimes you just have to scratch an itch.

Maybe a visit to Florida would be nice. However running off will have my boyfriend worried.

Actually if you're going to make a trip to Florida, you probably should plan it out ahead of time.

I've run away before. I always did some planning though. I made sure I had some money saved up, so I could find a place to stay if I needed to, and I brought a few essentials that I could carry in a backpack.
I agree that planning a visit could be a good alternative. If things work out there, you can always stay! But if it doesn't then you'll have a plan to go back home if you need to. |

I run away all the time . . . I move to foreign countries, even. I don't recommend it - very stressful. I can't describe how stressful -- you just rock up, no connexions, no language, no job or money or contacts, and wonder "So I'm here -- what the ***** do I do next?"

I've run off across states before. I like it. I feel fresh and the world looks new again, but that wears off quick and then it's just like anywhere else and everything you wanted to get away from follows you there. That's how I always feel anyway, which is why I like always being on the move. Staying in one place drives me crazy.
If you want to go somewhere you should go somewhere, but make sure you have an escape plan or a way to get back to where you came from. |
