I don't know the answer to your question, newtus, but I wanted to let you know I read your post and I'm thinking about you.

thank you.
i know im annoying by now.
no one talks to me anymore i see.
thats fine.
i just need answers to questions every once and awhile.
im scared because i thought thia was a bad reaction but i took it last night at 6pm and then just now. (yea i took it again). i started hearing things and i literally was singing to some music i thought was on the radio and i had no clue te radio wasnt even on. i got very scared and then thhe hallucinations got worse and i started seeing things in my direct vision and i could watch things. it got so bad in a few hours after that i called my dad and was speaking a word salad. i was gonna post more but i couldnt type.

im thinking the latuda gave me a bad reaction i thought id have to call 911. i became really confused and phoned my dad cause im home alone. but the timing is weird so now im thinking its just me. but if it is im getting worse...ive never experienced that bad but one other time in my life

reason i took it again is because timing didnt seem right. idk if latuda caused that or not

It wouldn't surprise me if the hallucinations are a side effect of the medication. I did a quick google search (I'm sure you did too) and didn't see that as a side effect. But Latuda is fairly new, I think. It takes a while before the side effects of a medication are really known. Frankly that's why I prefer older medications. At least they're a known quantity.

I wish you weren't alone out there. You need someone with you when this stuff happens.

I couldn't find anything anywhere official or not official discussing an increase in hallucinations with Latuda, so if that is what is happening, it is apparently very uncommon because generally that kind of thing would be splattered all over the internet. Give your doctor a call and discuss what is going on. It may not be medication related at all. Hope you start feeling better.

I'm sorry.

I've never taken Latuda but I've hallucinated like you've described. I'm bipolar 1.

i found 2 or 3 things from different forums about it.

http://www.schizophrenia.com:8080/ji...ssageID=293741

http://www.psychforums.com/schizophr...opic75672.html

anyway. these people say they had increased hallucinations and other stuff.

yea that can be a side effect and have read it reported about haldol and others.

sites also like ehealthme, treato, and askapatient - all have patient reviews. ill read that.

thank you i appreciate it

Dunno. (hug)
Are you feeling more distressed on it perhaps? That could be enough to bring on the other world.

im pretty distressed.

just got out of the hospital...got a family reunion in a couple of days...im having flashbacks of when i stood on the railing to jump...i cant drive cause i cant cross that bridge anymore without flashbacks...got my sister coming to visit in a week...

but on average im always distressed
all that stuff has quieted down now but hasnt gone away.
its like someone turned a severity knob up from 1 to 20 for many hours.
it was very scary.
i cant believe i thought the radio was on the whole time but it never was.
my dad said when i called him i kept repeating sentences and words twice and said i sounded very disoriented and lost.

i couldnt concentrate on talking to him or at all because i kept being bombarded by hallucinations and it seemed like someone was taking my words out of my head as i spoke them.

idk it was weird...

I know that most of the other antipsychotics can cause increased hallucinations so I don't see why Latuda would be any different. But it also sounds as if you're under quite a bit of stress too which could be causing it. Take care of yourself Newtus
