1 of the voices i hear (my dominant voice) seems to be more than that now

she has told me stuff about her and where she iws from and stuff, and now she has a huge part in my daily life- telling me which way to turn and what to do.. it's like i can't do anything with out consulting her.

i am just wondering... can a voice turn in to more than a voice?

or is it just because it is the strongest

The voice you mentioned is the voice of another personality. It exists, or else you would not have the ability to hear it. People do not imagine things and they come to life. We do not contain that creative ability. It is not your own voice that you were created with. You have your very own voice that speaks when you open your mouth and words proceed. If she tells you what to say and do and you obey her by yielding to her notions, she is your master and you are her slave. This is not the way that you will be successful in your own life. You have the right, and yes, you are entitled, to be who you actually are in your heart and mind. It does not matter if you know who you are today, but just know that you are your own person and she is not you. She is attempting to influence the physical world that you inhabit by "borrowing" your body in a sense. It will only succeed if you allow it. That does not mean that you will no longer hear her voice. It only means that you posess the power to make the choices while you live inside your own body. You can do this! I believe in you! You must deny her that opportunity to be real. Of course she wants to be real, even Pinocchio wanted that "reality". You are the one who has been blessed with a human body. She has not. If it were her destiny to have a human body to live in and control, she would have been born into a human body. There is NO injustice in the fact that she is not human. She is what she is. Deny her the permission to access your body and influence your choices.

As you take the first step in realizing that she has no right to take over your own life, and you begin to realize that it is true that you possess the power to firmly deny her requests, you will begin to experience freedom in it's truest sense. She is NOT the boss of you! Who does she think she is??? Your master??? You are not an idiot, and you never have been one. That is a lie. A bold-faced lie, and don't you forget it.

Make up your own mind that exists to give you life; and stand strong- no matter how she tries to "sweetly" seduce you. If she deceitfully tries to present to you reasons why you are better off with her running your life, reject them one by one. There is nothing that she can possibly add to your life that is worth boarding her obnoxious, self-destructive ways.

I guarantee you, the moment that she has been given permission to rule over your affairs, by your submission to her "power", she will destroy you and everyone that you love, everyone that loves you, everyone that is connected to your life. That is her sole purpose in reality. To kill, to steal, and to destroy. Deny her your rightful God-given inheritance in life, which is your very own life.

You were created by a loving God, who desires that ALL of His children obtain the blessings He has surely bestowed to you. He has not bestowed these blessings upon her. She does not deserve them. He has declared boldly, that you do deserve these blessings. She is not your creator- none of the 6 personalities you encounter have created you. They do not have the power to create, never have, and NEVER will. You have been given forgiveness for ALL of your sins, as a free gift. You did not have to die for your own sins, SOMEONE named JESUS did that for you! This is Good News!!!

You have been freely given the Spirit of Power, Of Love, AND OF A SOUND MIND. Repeat this to yourself. Over and Over. It will most certainly grow. It will dispel any other distressing spirits that you are encountering. I promise. Let it become stronger in you. Do you have a T or a pdoc you can talk to about this?

I've heard of people having diagnoses switch from psychosis to DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and vice versa, which is what springs to mind when you say the voice is more of a personality, but obviously I'm not a dr and I can't diagnose you. Do you ever lose chunks of time? You'd be better off having a full evaluation by a mental health professional to get to the bottom of it.

I'm going to agree with WeepingWillow. As soon as you said it developed a personality, I was thinking DID as well. I have also read and learned that some who are supposedly psychotic actually have DID instead. I think it's worth exploring with a doctor of some sort.

Just wanted to also mention that if you do decide to explore this, DID is difficult to diagnose and often (if not always) arises from some kind of past trauma. If you explore this voice w/ a personality with a professional, it might be worthwhile to find one who is familiar with or even specializes in trauma-based disorders.

People absolutely do have the creative capacity to create the voice, the place where they are from, family members and everything right out of their own minds and for this "person" to be very, very real to them. It is absolutely 100% possible.

I am a writer. I do this all the time. The difference is, when I do it there is that catch in my brain that says "this is a character." However, those characters do sort of live and breathe on their own in my head, seemingly forming their own story.

I don't know much about DID (dissociative identity disorder) except what I see on t.v. so I'm not going to pretend to be an expert or anything. But, I agree this sounds like something along those lines and that you should for sure ask your doctor about it.

I was dxed with schizophrenia and then DID. talk to a pdoc to get a professional opinion. My case is more than voices. Everybody has their own area of expertise. Ie cooking, writing, driving etc. , and ages and foods they like. I also had trauma very early in life before I could talk.that's why pdoc says i split. Anyway we create a system that works or is supposed to anyway. There is a
particularly destructive one that tries to take over and do harm and be abusive to the others. I can usually put that one in lockdown now.
