Hi all!
Thank you so much for your support as I traveled through the darkness.
I am home after a 14 day stay at the spa (phyc ward). I just got home last night.

The Dr. added 4 more meds for me and now Im under court order to participate in Treatment and take my meds for the next 12 months. If I do not, I will be either Jailed, fined $1500 or ordered back to the facility I was in.

Im now on trilifon, limictal, buspar, cogentin adn a nother that is suppose to repress night tarrors.

I unfortunatly have to pay over $300.000 for these meds, and I do not have that kind of money, so I do not know what Im going to do. even though I can get these in generic, the price with out is over $3,000.00 for each for 2 of them. I do not have insurance, so I am going to try the mental health office and the low income clinic.

It is very depressing that these meds are so expensive.

I'm so glad to see you back! I've thought about you often.

Sorry about the 'spa' and the court-ordered treatment. You were really struggling last time you posted here, though. I was pretty concerned.

Can you get samples of the medications? Sometimes you can get them free that way. It kind of sucks that you're court-ordered to spend that much money every month. I assume the pdoc is working with you to find generics and minimize the number of medications you take.

If you have no insurance and no Rx coverage, sometimes pharm companies will give them for free if you are under a certain income bracket. It requires you send in your previuos year tax form to prove your income. But we help a lot of people get their insulin for free this way. It really does work out, but only certain meds. Like, example, my husband can't get his ADD meds this way because it's a controled substance.

I hope you find a way to get your meds and not end up in jail.

I got 4 filled and it was 138.00 I have one left to fill and it is 250.00 so I don't need it right now. I am hoping when it comes to refill them all I can get assistance through the mental halth department. I just don't want to go through the beginning again....It was hard to start taking them, but I knew if I did not comply in there, I would not have been able to come home....so i guess that decision was made for me.

I wasn't home ore then 24 hours and already my hubby and I got into it....

Oh well, life doesn't get better just because you go into treatment...It would have been nice however if the arguing would stop.... It is always about money (which we do not have) we had to charge my meds on the credit card, so it will not seem so bad till the bill comes. at least we can make small payments...I just hope it does not happen again next month.

I just hate the money troubles. Ugh! At least in my case it's just me. I don't have to argue with anyone else about how the money is spent. My choices, my mistakes, no one else to blame.

It really seems unfair that you have this court-ordered with no way to pay for it. It doesn't seem right to me.

I know the modern belief is that 'mental illness' is within the person, but I don't agree. 'Mental illness' is in a context. In this case, the money worries will make it worse. And the fighting will make it worse. They need to help to pay for the medications, and they need to get you some kind of marriage counseling so you and your husband can learn to talk about the problems you're having without arguing and hurting each other.

It's too bad that if they are making you take the meds that they won't find a way to help you get them.... it's such a messed up system, really.
