Hi Scott, I always feel icky after an episode. I always feel like someone has been shaking me really hard. I feel it's proof that mental illness is actually caused by physical things, but that is just my opinion. I'm not a doctor or scientist or anything.
Do you see Steve(alex) or just hear a voice? I have Other Me who is always around and we talk. She doesn't have a name, and although she's part of me, she's also not. It is hard to explain. But, she's my friend and a positive thing, not a negative one, and helps me a lot. I can't see her, but I know she looks different than me. Is it something like that maybe?

I see. So Steve and Alex are two seperate ones? It's a bit confusing the way you posted it.
I know talking out to the things you feel or see but others don't makes them uncomfortable. I don't talk outloud to Other Me when people are around. I can also talk to her in my head, though. She's sort of always there. The forum is the only place I've ever revealed that she's around me to anyone, because I don't think anyone will believ me, either.

I see, that's very interesting.
Do you have a psychiatrist? I think it sounds like you have some things going on and need some help for sure. I don't know much about disossiative identity disorder, but to me it sounds like something to consider discussing with a doctor. There's a forum here on PC about it. As for the hallucinations, well, it's really intersting. If they bother you very much, it is worth looking for help. Any time things disrupt your life negatively it's worth asking for help. I wish I could be more helpful on it, but your situation is a bit different than what I know about. But, sometimes it's good just to talk about it and know someone is listening. I would suggest getting in to see a therapist at the very least.

I'm sorry no one believes you.
But if talking to him/them makes you feel better, well then you can still feel better, right? I hope you will continue to feel better in whatever ways work for you. Even if no one else understands it. |
