Hey I recently saw a post like this except asking about Bipolar and I decided to ask How do Doctors diagnoses it, what is the process or any experiences or info? And then my light bulb went chime! My doctor quoted "Risperdal will help her relax and come back to reality." I cannot seem to sleep latly because of Aliens and people reading or hurting my thoughts. I am just wondering this site is so helpful, great and nifty so are you people out there! Thanks Sarah

You can probably find the criteria online.
Since you asked for it, I'll find it for you: http://counsellingresource.com/distr...zophrenia.html That is straight out of the DSM IV. Most clinicians in the US use that (and increasingly around the world). The ICD index is also sometimes used. The presence or absense of symptoms needs to be diagnosed by a mental health professional. Sometimes people find it helps them make sense of their diagnosis, though. |

Oh thank you dearly! Yes of course I try dozens of search engines and sometimes hours at a time. But some sites do NOT show up on engines. Thanks again!

Glad to have helped you :-)
I found it via google... But the thing with google is knowing what search terms to use. I used DSM IV criteria schizophrenia But without knowing about the DSM I guess you wouldn't have thought to have put that into google. :-) |
