ETA: Here's what I mean: Some of us were not blatantly abused, however we did experience traumas. This is what Mackler is talking about, we seem to negate the word "trauma" saying to ourselves, "oh it wasn't that bad, my experience was quite normal growing up", when in reality if we are really honest about our experiences, there were some damning things that went on with the way we were brought up.

Yes, a lot i feel does stem from certain traumas/difficulties in the emotional/feelings, relational, familial, social & environmental areas.

Many people have covered these areas. & yet still the mainstream psychiatric/pharmaceutical Industry persists in blaming unproven & unfounded brain disease(s) & the individual. It needs to change.

Bravo, Apotheosis!! I believe this is true of many of the disorders in the DSM. We need to use pills less and (well trained) psychologists more. If you look at the suspected etiology of many disorders, psychological and social dynamics are listed equally with biological factors.

In truth, really the only thing that makes any real sense in psychiatry is PTSD - The rest is largely complete nonsense.

Is mainstream psychiatry going to admit to the irony that it has itself become outright delusional & psychotic?
