why is it that when people think you are psychotic they treat you like you are incompetent and stupid and like you are weak and they ugh i am so sick or people not treating me like a human being like why do they have to be so patronising. does anyone else get treated badly because of this.

I think people with mental illness are treated poorly in general. I have to admit though, when I'm psychotic I am incompetent.

Psychosis is awful , it unfortunately does render a person dysfunctional. Just do what you can to avoid psychosis (meds & treatment) and then look to improve your life bit by bit. Focus less on what other people think and more on doing positive things for yourself.
