So one of the potential contributors to sz development especially in teens has to do with neural pruning...Hopkins now has a drug that blocks too much pruning and seems to even reverse it's effects essentially curing sz in mice. I'm sure it will be a few years till we see this for people and admittedly it's a lot easier to cure things in mice because the models are so defined but still pretty amazing!
