So this is interesting...researchers are beginning to use people's genotype to test various interventions....in this case folate which was effective for negative symptoms in people with certain genes. I think this kind of study is critical given that we're talking about a highly heterogenous condition...it's only a matter of time until this becomes common clinical practice but I think even more importantly it will allow for the discovery of new treatments that may have been masked by the gentic diversity of patients...
