Don't worry. I'm not so good at chat rooms. That's the first one I've been in since the early days of aol. It's hard for me to read quickly, and hard to write without a keyboard. But you sort of just try not to think too much and just say whatever comes to mind.

i dont. i thought about taking a xanax but idk if i should. i have a lot on my mind right now. really stressful stuff. i feel really paranoid on top of my anxiety building. im still gonna be home alone until wednesday. my dads not off til then. but i dont want to be home alone. it gets extremely lonely being isolated but it just makes everything worse. i dont feel safe being alone. i worried ill get attacked or killed. im very scared. i know im being watched.

Isn't that what you have the xanax for along with for sleep?

yea it is. im supposed to take 4 pills a day. i just...idk...i guess i just thought my anxiety would go away but it really hasnt. im also stressed tho. over what has happened in the past couple of days. idk if my anxiety is over stress or paranoia or both. prob both. it just sucks becaus i want to talk to someone face to face...i mean i want to talk to my family but my dad and sister are busy. my sister isnt here anymore. and my mom doesnt want to talk to me.

im so worried about being watched.

I don't know why, but cleaning when my husband is home is not a good idea. It makes me extremely irritable without cause. We had a super huge, fight about the plausibility of life insurance. He accused me of being unyieldingly one track minded.

I need help. About a month ago I couldn't stand up straight. I was rigid and couldn't move very well. It was as if gravity was bearing down on half my body. Furthermore, I've noticed over the weeks that my hands have been a bit shaky. Today they are shakier than normal followed by my legs feeling as if I should move them. They won't relax even when flat footed. It's discomforting.

Is this just akathasia again? Could Lithium or Lamictal cause it? I've been on Geodon for nearly a year and it hasn't triggered akathasia. It strikes me as odd that a mood stabilizer would cause it... The rigidity sounds like the beginning stages of Parkinson's disease. I told my psychiatrist and he had nothing to say. I see him on the 31st so Ill get a definitve answer then. If it gets worse I have Cogentin here from back in the day when I was on Risperdal. I had to use it when I was briefly put on Prozac.

What does this sound like?

it sounds like a dystonic reaction but also akathesia.
i got dystonia on haldol extremely bad. i was very rigid and i had shakiness going on. my hands curled into a ball and i was bent over from the waist up. it was like the top half of my body was just bent. but then my toes curled too.

ive had akathesia on atypical meds more than typicals. its definitely uncomfortable. well both are. the rigidity and akathesia stopped when i stopped my meds but i eventually had to go back on them.

I think you can get the shakes from lithium not sure about the rigidity or restlessness the other possibility is that one of the new meds is impacting the metabolism of the Geodon effectively raising your blood levels.

I had this on Stelazine and Mellaril back in the day. Yes, i agree it sounds like dystonia. A lot of meds can cause it i guess.

I had the same thing, bent at the waist and all twisted up. I quit taking the stuff before very long. What hell.

The rigidity only happened once a month ago. Still, Ill bring this possibility to my psychiatrist.

Sometimes Psychotic, shakiness is a less common side effect with Lithium, but a side effect none the less. However, my left leg concerns me. It won't relax... I think this is akathasia like Newtus mentioned. It's very mild right now. I will say this, my day job is painting and drywall, and I've had a tougher time cutting a straight line. It's as if I have to patiently predict when the shakiness moves my hand or not, which is rapidly. The shakiness seems like it's the lithium but my leg seems like it's the akathasia.

Lithium gave me really bad tremors in my hands, especially when I had Lithium Toxicity

Yeah, the more I look this up the more common it seems. I don't have any signs of toxicity. I'm only on 900mg. Did you feel as though you couldn't rest a leg, Blue Bird?

i dont remember any side effects from lithium that was similar to a dystonic reaction or akathesia but i remember peeing a lot and always being thirsty. i could never satisfy my thirst.
