I'm diagnosed with Schizophrenia, and it says that one of the symptoms is laughing inappropriately. When people are angry, I find it absolutely hilarious. I feel guilty when I burst out laughing, and I don't share the joke with others because I know they won't share it.

Could be just some "weird" sense of humor though, I say this because my humor is weird, and yes I tend to laugh at inappropriate times.

Yes, it's part of what is called 'inappropriate affect'. Although anybody can experience it at times, as well as having a 'weird sense of humour', I guess it is considered more pervasive and/or more extreme in schizophrenia. My pdoc said it was part of the fragmentation process in psychosis, which isn't something I understand much about (if anyone does, I'd be interested to hear more). I find it very confusing and hard to understand when it happens to me

I do it all the time. I think its just my sense of humor that others do not get because I'll think of something funny but don't wanna say it out loud because some times it's mean. Sometimes I laugh out of nervousness though. That's something I have to work on. A defense mechanism I learned over the years I guess. You are fine lll

I have had something close to that, however it was more impulse than humor.
I was in school, i must have been in some kind of group.
(considering there were only three other kids and one adult there.)
One of them was talking about something bad that had happened to her.
I had started laughing (more like a chuckle considering it was short.)
And everyone just- glared at me.
I felt mildly embarrassed.

Lying monsters are a real nuisance: They are much more cunning than others. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart; they eat even though they've never experienced hunger; they study even though they have no interest in academics; they seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such monsters, I would likely be eaten by them... because in truth, I am that monster.

What exactly is meant by this? Like laughing at something that shouldnt be thought of as funny or is it like thinking of something funny in your head and laughing about it?

It means that a person would be interpreting a scenario in a manner that they will either laugh in a mocking way , strained way , or even with great hilarity, but qualified by: usually the laughter is inappropriate to the situation , more than likely caused because of detachment or a maladapted coping strategy. OR could be, just laughter where a normal sample of the general population would say is odd or out of the ordinary or not keeping with any given situation.

That's my best shot at it.
