I have hallucinated in the past, but I think that the mental health workers hypnotized me to think that I was hallucinating. I think that they did this because my son's dad had aggregated assault on his step son. The wanted my son's dad to have custody of our son because they dislike single moms. Are people that mental health workers are fond of considered schizophrenic?

From my experience. Once your in a psychosis for awhile you no longer see the sun but are faced in the opposite direction staring at shadows on the wall that people are projecting from up above.

I you feel something is wrong is it possible to see a psychiatrist or psychologist just to vent and have a professional's perspective. This is why schizophrenia is so hard to treat, the patients don't believe they are having halucinations or delusions. That's when you find some person holding the golden thread of reason, and follow that person out of the turbid, turbulent waters that come along with such a nasty mental illness.

My best friend looked me in the eye and said, "Stephen I think you have schizophrenia" and I believed her for a day, then I went right back into the psychosis. I was just lucky enough to have just one friend who made an appointment to see a psychologist and walked me there and sat in the room with my psychologist to make sure I share everything and get both viewpoints as they discussed my delusion. The only way out is through the help of others Josh.

I wish you the best Josh. If I was you I would talk to a health professional and submit myself to their treatment. The hope alone that all of this may be fixed was enough for me.

I remember my visit to the psychward crystal clear. In my first conversation with my psychiatrist I told him my delusions and he said, "but what is your wrong"? I said but I'm not!" Then he looked me square in the eyes and with a pained look asked me, "BUT what if you WERE wrong?"

There is always room for doubt. Looking at all of Napolean's victories who would have thought he would lose at the battle or waterloo. We are humane and our humanity is so fragile. Sometimes it's best just to give up and let other professionals take over.
