I was in the basement watching tv which can be a trigger, and I began seeing that their were 4 cowboys sitting in my basement. They started talking to me and I knew somehow that they weren't real but I wanted to talk to them anyways. I take 6mg of Risperdal. Do I need to up the dose or switch to a new medication? And has anybody ever enjoyed a psychotic experience? I'm to psychosis. It started after a traumatic brain injury in a car accident.

with visuals, my guess is that tissue and neuron pathways form connections to the optic wire that can allow the imagination and dream centers to "leak" onto your waking perceptions. what helped stop the visuals was practicing internal vibrations and push-pull using the inner mind muscle style.

I think it's great you know it's not real....I don't always know until much later....but I have had some fun....I went to a street fair I thought was put on just for me....I was also being trained on how to heal people by a shaman. My stuff is more delusional than the voices though some of the voices were fine like my IT guy who was telling me the finer points of ranged weapon use in video games.

I would think 6mg of risperdal would work but you may need an increase. So is something about psychosis and thirds, about a third get full relief from meds, another third get partial relief and another third aren't helped.

The other thing is your hallucinations are kind of rare, I don't typically see and hear at the same time it's usually a weak mental image of the voice along with the voice. I'm surprised they have you as sza considering how it started...

Something to note, your Ritalin could make all of this worse....I think straterra is generally preferred....basically the way Ritalin and risperidone play with dopamine is in opposition.

I actually just started taking Ritalin yesterday, and the incedent happened last week. Most of my psychosis is psychotic panic attacks which are the worst type in my opinion. But this one was not that bad. I felt weird and worried yesterday after taking Ritalin, but Strattera gave me neuropathy so this was the other option.
