Is it even possible?

I'm currently on Invega and Stelazine and I've noticed I've gained a little bit of weight since starting the high dose of Invega (12mg) and starting the Stelazine (4mg) .

I've read that Stelazine is pretty weight neutral, but I still feel as though I've gained so much weight! I don't like it.

Is there any tips on losing weight on APs??

It helps to cut out soft drinks and walk at least 30 minutes a day, even if you're just making laps around your house.

Invega is a gainer so good luck. I find drinking tea and cutting out most beverages other than water helps but if you're looking for other options you can ask you doc about adding metformin.

I've lost like 40 pounds while on metformin. I've lost the weight I had gained while on zyprexa. It's possible to lose weight on antipsychotics but it can be very hard.

When I was on Risperdal I gained 60lbs. It happened so fast that have stretch marks. I told my PDoc and he said that that's normal on Risperdal. I brought it up again and again until he finally got off his lazy *** and put me on Geodon. I lost the weight in like a month. Geodon is an atypical anti psychotic. It's one of the more friendly weight neutral ones. My appetite significantly decreased and my digestion became normal again. I lost all the weight.

My new PDoc suggested I take Abilify and I told her that I already has something that works without side effects. I didn't want to take a risk. It's like good make up. It's there and you don't even notice it. Even though it generic it still is on the expensive side.

I lost weight on Geodon. Just reduced my appetite. A friend of mine that also takes it lost weight, too.

I lost a lot of weight by basically starving myself, which I know is not good, and also metformin. But now that I'm eating almost like a normal person I'm gaining weight again. So basically it's possible....but really freaking hard and potentially dangerous if you're prone to disordered eating like I am.
