Ahhh, anxiety is playing up this morning... has been for a week or so now.

Exacerbated by the fact I've got an appointment for getting bloods in half an hour... just thankful I got an early appointment.

I don't actually have any aversion to bloods being drawn, just the damn waiting!

Hello, I see my pdoc today. I have a lot to tell him. I literally get sick to my stomach about taking my meds. I want to stop. At one point I thought my blood was tainted. Trying to trust the process so hard.

You mean after I got referred & they lost it in the system & then the psychiatrist went on holiday? Yes... I remember that.

Not great, but in the end of the day it's a "free" service, so can't complain too much!

I hope your appointment comes through soon. Is it because you moved that you are having to wait for a referral to the local services?

As for the anxiety... thanks. It seems to be closely related to my sleep problems. The more I lay awake in the early hours, the more anxiety I feel. Not quite sure what came first, the chicken or the egg but they are linked. I suppose the likely culprit is cutting back my nicotine.

I had very little problems with quitting the first time. My anxiety only came around noticeably a few months after I quit.... I guess now it's "established", it's always in the background just waiting for a trigger.

Still, it's mostly in the mornings, usually goes away within a couple of hours of getting out of bed.

I don't feel the need to go back on SSRIs. Yet. We'll see what happens after I come off nicotine altogether. I think if after a month of being off nicotine, it's still around then I'll go back on them. Certainly no reason not to as I tolerated Citalopram very well.

haha yeh that time. they told me it could be a couple of months but support workers are coming tomorrow to do an initial assessment. I was referred by my GP due to my anxiety not going down even though its been a while since i moved. we expected it to go up during the move but really it should have gone back down now. it's also causing some run on symptoms like increased paranoia and some mood issues. They just increased my abilify from 10 to 15mg so hoping that helps.

You don't have to be a beginner to use Python. It's a very versatile language and it's object oriented too so the possibilities are endless. Well done you for teaching yourself, I always found it hard to learn on my own which I is why I always did better attending lectures and labs. I found if you don't use it you lose it, I wouldn't be as strong a programmer as I was in college but I'm looking forward to getting stuck into my new course. We're doing C# which is quite similar to Java so you're kind of learning two languages at once.

We have a class dedicated to data structures which I'm looking forward to. When I struggled with solving certain programmes I would memorise certain data structures and step through them with the debugger learning how they worked at each line. I found I could apply a lot of the same code to every day problems I'd face with assignments or labs. I'd recommend learning some basic data structures like searches and sorts. It really helped me.

I never really took to programming. Did some really basic stuff in Computing Studies or whatever it was called but it was boring as **** to me. Perhaps it was just too easy... I'm not sure what language we used but I guess... BASIC.

It just sort of seemed monotonous to me. I'm guessing something that was challenging might be more interesting though.

You can pick up the syntax for any language quickly enough, it's using it to solve complex memory efficient programs which can be quite difficult.

My first language was Visual Basic and it was seemed to be just data entry.

I can feel a microchip in the heel of my foot again, voices telling me to
Possible trigger:

Hard to say no, trying to distract myself with netflix and reading

I went and got my blood taken again today and I nearly blacked out. My ears started ringing, I felt dizzy and it slowly went completely black. It was quite scary actually I thought I was gonna die. My cpn said it was because of the medication lowering my blood pressure. If it happens again I've gotta call them a.s.a.p

Have you tried listening to music as a distraction from the voices? I find it helps me drown them out

Yeah I can try to listen to some stuff, maybe watch tv too.

Just hate myself going closer and closer to a relapse.

Yeah visual basic is basic I think. I think that's why I found it boring... just being like data entry... good way of describing it.

Still, I've no real drive to go learn programming anymore. That ship has sailed!
