Are you taking clozapine(clozaril)? If so,, how long before you noticed results?

I have been on it for 3 weeks now.. I started with 12.5mg ... now it is 125mg daily after I wake up. It keeps me sedated for a couple hours then I think its effects wear off... but yet to notice any good results.. although I am just a teensy bit better you could say but nothing to brag about.

So.. if you are taking it... did it help you at all and how long it took.. if any?

I'm still pretty new to clozapine I'm only on 50 mg a day. I'm still in the initial stages that they do. They said I would be going up to 300 mg a day by the end of next week. As for noticing a difference I think it's too early for me to say. Symptom wise I'm still the same but the only thing I have noticed is that I'm more tired. Also it made my blood pressure drop quite a lot and I nearly completely blacked out. They keep telling me it's a really effective drug but for me personally nothing has changed yet. I would also like to know how long it takes until I might notice a difference. I think my cpn said it takes 5/6 weeks to work.

I am on 425 mg per day, and I think it has worked on the majority of the symptoms. although I hear voices from time to time. They are certainly not as bad as they were. hope this helps xx
