Yes!!! I guess that's why he's persuading me to get started. I'm tired of doing nothing but like the idea of napping whenever I want or whatever. We are struggling financially so it would help us. I can't have both worlds I gotta do something...soon.

Well I'm going to talk to my new cpn about therapy. She seems like doer.
I'm guna ask to see an OT to help me organise my days and find things I like doing. I was offered one before but I refused it as I didn't believe I needed help with anything at the time.
I'm going to ask to be referred to this organisation that helps people with mental health problems look for work. I'm not giving up on work!
I'm going to look at clubs at my local centre that does community work. They have an art class on Mondays so I'm guna go to that and see what else they do.
And lastly I'm guna look into doing some courses at my local recovery college.
My plan is called project Build a Life lol

I showed my psychologist where I saw spiders and shadow people and visual distortions. Pretty weird. I had a good sleep and the shot and they are pretty much gone. I didn't tell him about stopping the abilify for 5 days. No voices though just was a bit paranoid and disorganized moderately in explanation and my attention was completely in and out.

I'm going to organise my life. Maybe looking for a job isn't right for me right now as that's what sent me over the edge, but I need to do something. Before this came over me again I would spend as much time asleep as possible to avoid having nothing to do. That's not healthy. I need to fill my time with things to do.

I'm just in my own world. I need to bridge the gap between me and reality. Fully commit to this world. Then my mind won't need to flee back to the other dimension.
how would you feel about volunteering somewhere? less commitment and stress i think

in my opinion, people need and want different things from therapy. i dont see any way as right or wrong, i guess.

Yeah my support worker suggested volunteering too, I guess I just feel if I'm doing work I'd rather get paid for it. Unless it was volunteering for like a homeless charity or campaigning for mental health. I'd do that

I thought about volunteering especially for the elderly. I figured it will get me going again. Something stops me, I don't know why. Maybe I'm afraid of commitment.

Oh I agree. That's just the way psychologists seem to work over here and I prefer it. Just works for me.

Though I think transference doesn't really have room to grow in that kind of relationship. And that seems like a good thing. Just my two cents.

Do they have any kind of charity in your area that goes around handing out sleeping bags and soup to homeless people? They did that in the city I lived in but I never got the courage to go for it, I'd say it's very rewarding. You're in a group and you get to hear people's stories and make their lives that tiny bit easier.

thats how i feel. id rather get paid if im doing work but they also expect more out of you if youre actually getting paid for it.

i volunteered at a franchise petshop before, a couple of years ago. i felt like i shouldve been paid for cleaning out 8 catboxes a week.

They have a homeless organisation so maybe they do, think I might look into it. That does sound very rewarding, I try to help homeless people myself by buying them food and drinks when I can so I think I'd enjoy it

Yeah I'd say it feels more like volunteering than standing in a charity shop for 8 hours which is unfortunately all that's available to me where i live now. if i were back in the city I'd totally go for helping the homeless. There is quite the application process and interview, they don't just let anyone do it but I'd say an OT would be able to help you out with it.
