Guys ,
How do you feel about all this research? My niece has just got a cat and it troubles me somewhat. If you were to have a kid , would you own a cat , at least in the kids infancy and childhood period? I personally would not, it seems like a reasonable precaution to take for the sake of a child that is already at risk due to genes. Personally, I wouldn't worry about it...
Of all the factors developing schizophrenia, I would imagine things like that which are at best tentative... really won't stop the inevitable happening, nor be the main cause . Really the part I would focus on surrounding Toxoplasma is that: Quote:

Being at risk due to genes is totally unrelated to being sick due to infection though it doesn't compound your risk they are independent ...if you're worried just make sure she doesn't have to clean the litter box.

I was thinking more in terms of interactions. I guess that its done now , don't want to have a conversation like, 'if you do X then you may catch schiz' , lost cause, hope for the best..

Lots of people do , could be just a correlation like their self sufficiency and solitary behaviour could be just a natural fit for people with Mi. And that's why there is a correlation.
