Hello,

My psyhcatrist told me that i have 90% change of having schyzofrenia.I have a couple of qutestins of how hard is this diases.
1.Can a schyzofrenic become rich (its always been my dream)or are they destine to loose it all
2.What kind of jobs can they have?I have a college education will i be able to work in my field management
3.Im currently doing DUAL n BACK i managed to reach level 3 in 4 days practicing 20-30 minutes a day.Im regaining a little more control over my thougths could this significantly increase my chances of me not becoming a schyzofrenic.
4.Does your IQ concentration and attention decrease over time if you have this disease or there nothing you can do?

I think a lot of this depends on how well your symptoms are controlled. I'm not sz but bipolar with psychotic features and I'm a scientific researcher with a PhD. I personally believe you can do anything if the medication and therapy work in getting your symptoms under control. While you may be able to become rich its pretty uncommon even for healthy people. The dual N back is great, I was doing lumosity for 2 years and I really think it helped me. I monitored my IQ some online tests so the validity is suspect but mine decreased closer to my episode and then increased slowly back to normal as I worked hard and recovered, supposedly however its not supposed to change. For me there was a transient decrease in attention and I found that having something for my hand to hold was really useful----like silly putty or a rock or whatever, I just needed something to play with in addition to whatever I was supposed to be focused on. Good luck in your journey

I am college student, which is hard since I am resitant to med treatment and don't get any benefit of them, but I think it's possible to study or work if you have a psychotic disorder and it's more or less under control.
I haven't played Dual N Back but I have done other kind of mental-training-games. My IQ is high even during psychotics breaks but lower than when I am not having a psychotic break, my attention and working memory are specially poor during psychotic breaks and it takes some time for me to recover them after an episode.
