So I have been on risperdal for a while and recently my doctor said that my prolactin levels are a little high.I really don't want to go through the headache of changing medications but I know that I might have to. Is the only treatment for raised prolactin levels a change in medication?

I believe you can add another med that will lower them like abilify.

I believe that metformin also works for this but has the added benefit of preventing weight gain as well.
