Hi! I have schizoaffective and am having bouts of intense anger. I am muttering to myself how I hate everyone and my friend's dog's barking makes me so angry I often have to put the dog in the bedroom because I just need to sit in the quiet when I'm at home. I also have some hallucinations - hear my name called, know people can hear my thoughts - see some flashes of color in my eyes when I look in the mirror (that scares me). I feel like I'm a different person than I was a few months ago! I feel like the next person who annoys me will get screamed at or punched!!!

Hello there. Are you a solid med regimen at present? Have you brought your concerns to your doctor's attention?

Yes, I'm on meds and taking them..... My pdoc is changing them currently because I've been progressively getting worse on my last regimen so we had to try something else so I increased my seroquel from 400 to 500 and started haldol, I'm on 1 mg, and increased lamotrigine from 200 to 300mg. It just doesn't seem to do anything. The paranoia is the worst and I'm so sick of hallucinating and feeling like a crazy person although I sort of don't want part of it to go away because of the special things that I know about the world and I don't want to forget about my quest to figure them out because i think they are very important. I take my meds but could they be making me worse?

The invisible people make you feel mad. I know because I have never been the type of person to feel mad, but once the invisible people started coming around I felt angry all the time.

I'm sorry for your difficulties. I know what it's like being in the midst of trying to find an effective combination of meds. I very much doubt your meds are making your condition worse, but if your current meds (or current dosages) aren't effectively treating the problem, then your symptoms are simply there and progressing, unabated.
