Hello,

Can a person with schizo or psychosis still function in normal parramaters like John Nash did. Can they improve their memory to become better?

John Nash was not normal at all, from what Ive seen. Not even appeared normal to others.

Mind does have plasticity -to some extent, -in some areas, -and varies among individuals. Mental exercises like meditation, math, memorizing; are effective but it takes time for mind to grow used to them and change itself. And whatever you choose to learn, you should like it of course.

If you are aiming for meaningful, shoot for greatest hope and work your mind off.

Have in mind that people who wanted meaningful life in most cases ended up sacrificed (our so called saviour for example), burned at the stake (in not so distant western past by the same ones who glorified the saviour), got jailed, lost their minds, got commited, got sick...

In our time the number of failures is greater then ever. And lots of them are still getting stoned to death.

Even if you stand out in something there is no telling the enviroment factors will play that out.

Isnt it great. With all the odds stacked against you.

I am grateful for still being able to breathe and think. Thats enough meaningful for me.

Not being a pessimist though, I am rooting for young ones to dare change the world.

It really sucks being disappointed. Remember that everyone is at the mercy of circumstances.

good luck

I dont know really.

Maybe you should focus more on your inner world. Dont let your job and status define you. You can become someone without recognition, however cheesy that may sound.

I'm not sure. Therapy can improve functioning.

I'm with this lady. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can help you gain better functioning. Finding an effective medicine can do wonders. Psychotherapy works for some people, and meditation works for others. Don't let your symptoms defeat you. There are ways to fight back.

I consider myself to be someone, I am happy with what I am studying at college and what I have achieved by my own.
