Do you self-medicate when you're in over your head?

I do a various sorts of self harming but mainly it was because I was under the influence of voices.
I sometimes over eat but not to the point of binging... Just a few more foods that I normally eat. |

Almost forgot... when I'm being bothered by my hallucinations I like to listen to music as a way to drown the voices.

I smoke weed whenever things get out of hands. Helps to manage my psychosis and calms me down. Ironic because people say that weed triggers psychosis.

Interesting. Yeah, some strains of weed I have smoked have made me extremely paranoid. Haven't smoked any for well over a year now though.

I used to. But I have found a better way. Separating myself from the situation has helped. Being alone helps sometimes. Being around people who love and care about you will help.

unfortunately, the more my symptoms pop up the more I drink. It's a coping mechanism. I also drink due to my anhedonia because it calms me and relieves my frustration.

Not really

i used to rely on self harm as a means of dealing with the voices, but that never really stopped the voices before but it did make me feel a little better
now i try to listen to music or talk to people when the voices are loud, although that oesnt always work either |
