I just found dandelions outside my apartment complex!

I went for a walk in the park today. It was lovely to see the leaves on the trees coming out.

My mother came to bring me to a nice restaurant for lunch with my brother today, and in the car, before we got my brother, she gave me a bar of chocolate she bought in Spain while she was on vacation there. She said I was the only one she got something for during the entire trip!

We've got some outside my building too!



When we were kids, we called them fairy clocks: you would blow the dandelion seeds and however many breaths it took for them all to blow away, that would be the time in the fairy world! lol

Really? When I was growing up, if you saw one when it was all white and fluffy with seeds, picked it, made a wish and blew on it, and all the seeds blew away on your first blow, your wish would come true. It was like getting an extra chance on making a wish on your birthday before blowing out the candles.

Thanks for sharing, I find it interesting all of the different stories people have about things. I'd be interested to hear any others that people may have.

ETA: We were also told not to pick dandelions or we'd wet the bed! lol Apparently, they're a potent diuretic, but I never had any issues with them...
