I got an achievement certificate at the agency my case manager works for, for returning to college The lovely little thread of happiness 2 :) we had a little celebration with cake and refreshments the other day for clients who have returned to college, graduated, or completed vocational training in the past year. It was really nice. I feel proud!

I moved to southern Ontario from Ottawa last weekend. The city is about half the size and is cleaner. There is a lot of industry here, unlike Ottawa which is mainly government and hi-tech. So far I like it here. People are friendly and helpful.

On Thursday I felt very lonely, because I have no friends and family here. My recent mobile phone purchase has made the loneliness more tolerable. I am very happy with this purchase.

The sun sets about 20 minutes later here. It is amazing what 500 km west can do. I really hope this helps my mood during the winter months. In Ottawa it sets at 4:20 pm when winter starts. I have always found this depressing.
