They have saved me from anhedonina, from playing playing and playing and forcing myself to play I ended up finding joy again
I would like to make a thread so all of us can share our experiences with different videogames. The game that begins helping be was The Legend of Zelda: a link between worlds, and ultimately, Rune Factory 4, all for 3DS. Now I am playing Final Fantasy X for PS vita and I am enojoying it like hell, before it I was playing rayman legends which also helped me a lot and was when I realize I was actually enjoying it instead of forcing myelf to play. I want to get monster hunter stories which would be released in september where I live. I have to save money. These are the games I own: Nintendo 3DS: Pokemon Moon Pokemon Super mistery dungeon New super mario bros 2 Paper mario Monster hunter 4 ultimate Skylander spyro's adventure The Legend of Zelda: a link between worlds. The legend of Zelda: ocarina of time. Star fox Super Smash Bros New art academy Picross E3 Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright triology. Sonic (the original first game for SEGA) Fire Emblem Fates Animal Crossing New leaf The binding of Isaac Governor of Poker. Final Fantasy XII (Original for DS) PS vita: Rayman Legends and Origins Final Fantasy X/X-2 World of Final Fantasy Ecolibrium Digimon Cyber Sleuth Minecraft Disgaea Afternoon of darkness (PSP) Rayman (Play Station one) Klonoa (Play Station one) Pure Chess. __________________ Crazy, inside and aside Meds: bye bye meds CPTSD and some sort of depression and weird perceptions "Outwardly: dumbly, I shamble about, a thing that could never have been known as human, a

I enjoy video games as well, but I play mine on the computer. Recently I've really gotten into Final Fantasy XIV, a really fun MMORPG. I used to play World of Warcraft but it became boring to me and I made the switch to Final Fantasy. I also enjoy The Sims games, Stardew Valley, the old Pokemon games, and stuff like Animal Crossing.
I even geeked out and bought Encyclopedia Eorzea, a lore book about Final Fantasy XIV. It was a splurge and rather expensive with the shipping, but I couldn't resist. I get to pick it up today, can't wait to read it. |

I've noticed when I play certain video games it can elicit certain involuntary emotions even though I have anhedonia too, interesting.
I played Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic a month ago. The character development is great. It also delves further into the philosophical under roots of both the sith and the jedi, being very critical of both of them. There is a Nietzscheian character in it I find to be very complex. I had thought about giving Mass Effect 2 another try. It's very similar to the star wars game mentioned above. The only problem is that I get really sucked into games like these and its hard to just play for a couple hours and fall back asleep. My mind doesn't want to sleep after something like that. But if its a good exercise for relieving anhedonia then maybe I should... I grew up playing video games. I remember there was a spy hole in the basement wood workshop at my home I lived in as a child. I could watch my mother wrap my gifts and when I saw the first Legend of Zelda for NES I was ecstatic! A few of my favorite games are old adventure style games that are more like a book than a video game really. Games like King's Quest, Gabriel Knight, and The Longest Journey come to mind. Now most RPG games have pretty good stories to follow along with though so I don't mind them. |

I can't be the only one... (a little bit off topic)
When you hallucinate you feel like you're in a horror game... voices talking to you... pictures on the wall are moving. Shadow's everywhere and for me... dead children are hiding but looking at me. |

I describe it like being in Silent Hill, a survival horror videogame, the town you are in transforms your fears, trauma, sense of gultiy, ... Into monsters. __________________ Crazy, inside and aside Meds: bye bye meds CPTSD and some sort of depression and weird perceptions "Outwardly: dumbly, I shamble about, a thing that could never have been known as human, a

Brain training infernal must be great for cognition, it reminds me to that PC game I think it was sometimes psychotic who commented about, I don't remember the name.

I've been trying to play Mass Effect 2 but I just can't get into it. :/ I'm drinking alcohol to help me feel it but nothing is working today. I'm so numb.

In regards to Knights of the Old Republic. They planned a 3rd one out but canceled it. They did a MMO called The Old Republic. I don't know how well the MMO did but there is a book series that tells the story. One of them is naturally titled Revan. It had a good rating on Goodreads.com.
