Well I am having symptoms again. I went on a exchange programs to Norway and it was too much for me, my thoughts came back. It seems like the thoughts are trying to take over my mind. I saw my doctor today about it, we are raising my meds. I don't want to do anything stupid and hurt someone. Its not pleasant to feel like you are losing your mind. Music helps get my mind of it.

What else can I do to cope with my illness when symptoms flair up? What works best for you?

I'm sorry that you're struggling RER, but good to see you again

Coping skills...well, they help me a lot. Some of the best for me are:

Distraction - craft, colour, watch tv, mess about on the internet etc
Spend some time in nature/take a walk & practice mindfulness of my surroundings
Play with/cuddle my dog
Music on loud through headphones
Reminding myself I'm strong and have gotten through worse
Reminding myself that nothing lasts forever
Talking to my friends or family
Journaling
Curl up in bed with my soft fleece blanket and light candles and watch a DVD or listen to music
Etc

And, this one's a bit silly, but when I'm really REALLY scared, small spaces help so I will curl up in a small space or build a blanket fort and hide out in there, listening to music until I feel less scared and can come out again.

I hope you find something that helps

Willow has a really good list, add cat instead of dog and it'd be perfect
