Hello. Recently I started noticing more and more that my speech feels different than it used to. It feels as if Im slurring my speech and like its just as animated and lively. It feels as if its the same old me talking, but like a brain damaged version of me or something. My brain feels less engaged in the process or something. Is this the same as the monote, robotic, emotionless speech seen in schizophrenia?

I had speech problems back in elementary school. When I first started going to hospitals for mental illness issues and they asked my mom if I was slow because my speech was slow.

Then again... never connected the two with my mental illness. I'm not gifted or anything but I was either smarter than some or just plane average.
Thanks for this!

Can you relate to the way I described it specifically? Or did you experience it differently?

Speech like monotone and robotic can be because of schizophrenia, but it can be seen in depression and other mental disorders. I have a almost monotone lone phone voices and disorganized thinking.(Which is why I put this, please ignore rhyming and nonsense sentences.) Autism is also something that creates monotone voices. The rabbit clocks scallion chirp. For schizophrenia you must also have other symptoms, since monotone voice is a negtive symptom. I hope that helps.

Do you know if what I described would accurately fit with that characterization (monotone, robotic)?

It's hard to say without hearing you. When someone with the flat voice and affect as in schizophrenia it's like the same as talking just without the emotion lotion motion potion. Move mix tomato cool shoe fixture. It's sounds super flat and there's no expression. You know those computer system voices, I sound kinda like the female ones. I guess if you can relate to those maybe laybe feybe. The cat stone tree knee hood.
