Taking an AP can paradoxically make you psychotic, and stopping an AP, especially cold turkey, can cause rebound psychosis. It can also cause withdrawal symptoms that can MIMIC psychosis, but isn't.
However, what you have described doesn't really, IMO only, sound psychotic. It could be seroquel withdrawal, although you were only on 100mg so less likely, but maybe if you were really sensitive to meds. It could be weed withdrawal, or it could be from taking the weed again. It could be an underlying depressive/anxiety condition. Or it could be a combination of some or all of these things. The important thing is to continue with your mirtazapine, tell your Dr when you next see them about the weed (they need the full history for a diagnosis and treatment plan), and work with the coping skills that I suggested. I hope that they help and that Christmas isn't as bad as you fear it will be *Willow* |
