So, uh... I talked to my T today. Usual session, right up until he said that he believes I have schizophrenia.

I don't know what to think. I don't even know if I believe him.

I don't know. I'm just feeling really alone right now, knowing that these people in my head are just hallucinations... it's messing me up.

Who did you think the people In your head were? The only other similar thing is DID.

Still I don’t really trust therapists with diagnosis......psychiatrists are better at it, get a second opinion because if it is some sort of sz medication is really helpful.

I agree with SP, get a 2nd opinion from a psychiatrist to diagnose that before you start to believe it. They should wait awhile before saying you definitely have this or that. For the most part, I disbelieve my own diagnoses in the absence of explanations to tell me why.

I see my psychiatrist on the 11th. I guess I'll talk about it with him then.

I have been told that I have DID. That's part of the reason I'm so confused right now. How can I have both? How can I tell which voices are real (other personalities), and which voices are hallucinations? And couldn't some things just be happening because of the PTSD?

I just have a lot of questions for both my pdoc and T.

Yes PTSD can have hallucinations----it sounds really complex to me---I hope you find the help that you need.
