So I've taken 4 different online schizophrenia tests and they don't agree. One says I don't have it. Another says I have moderate schizophrenia. The other two seem to indicate I have strong signs of it.

I think the online tests might be falsely triggering off the following two. First, I hear voices. Usually thought blasts, but occasionally audible. Second, I believe in a mainstream theory that a lot academic scientists believe in called Simulation theory, which leads me to believe that supernatural and amazing abilities are possible. Anything's possible in a simulation.

I hope to go to get diagnosed by a professional one day, but it probably won't happen until later this year. Until then is there any way to find out if I have schizophrenia? Perhaps a better online test that goes into more details. I mean, what about spiritual or religious people. There are a LOT of religious people who claim to hear God or angels or loved ones talk to them. Why don't the tests try to filter out spiritual people or scientific people who believe in certain theories?

No the only way to get an accurate diagnosis is to go through a professional and even then it will vary.

Would you recommend people try a few professionals to get a 2nd or 3rd diagnoses? I know that in academic physics community there's a wide range of professionals. Some don't take their field so seriously and aren't the greatest, while others are notable and very active in their field, publishing papers quite often.

Not really diagnosis isn't so important----there are basically three with voices, schizophrenia, schizoaffective and bipolar with psychotic features---its a question of whether you want an antipsychotic for voices only or if you additionally have a mood element. If you don't want meds there is no point to getting a diagnosis IMO.

I definitely have severe mood swings that scores high on bipolar tests, but they didn't start showing up until midlife crisis. Maybe I have bipolar with psychotic features that you mention? Last year my bipolar score was 45 out of 50 for mania and 35 for depression. Now it's 36 for mania but depression hasn't changed. for I used to have ability to talk to "spirits" my whole adult life, but pretty much avoided it until midlife crisis. So honestly I don't know what I have, but still should see a therapist to deal with severe childhood trauma, which gives me a high PTSD score. Also my Borderline Personality Test score is high for some reason.

Can bipolar with psychotic features be Bipolar II? I thought the psychotic features was Bipolar I. All of my online tests say I'm Bipolar II.

I guess if your depressive moods trigger a psychosis.

And severe dissociation...

My things are considered psychotic by some psychiatrist and dissociative by others. I call it "psychotic dissociation" or "dissociative psychosis"

I have many voices, some are my people, some are entities from wonderland, some are demons from Nether, shadows from beyond reality and the narrator. Not all at the same time.

I remember when a portal was broken and I couldn't return from Wonderland.

If you have endured severe trauma, complex PTSD should be considered. It can mimics bipolar and even schizophrenia.

I meet the criteria for psychotic disorder and mood disorder, but my psychiatrist prefers to consider it PTSD related (anyway, I have tried lamictal, depakote, a ton of antipsychotics and antidepressants, now I take prazosin and a try cyclic AD. I don't tolerate side effects pretty well, and I miss my magic things when they are gone)

I recommend you to Read that.
